I took up photography in 1990 and became a member of Aberdare Camera Club in 1995 and have served on the committee for most of that time having had several stints as Chairman over the years.
I shot mainly on transaparency film until 2005 when I made the transition to digital photography purchasing my first digital camera, the 6 megapixel Canon EOS 300D DSLR .Nowadays I shoot with a mirrorless camera and have said goodbye to the DSLR and I’m really enjoying the amazing new tech that can be found in these modern day marvels.
I am a Raw only shooter using mainly Lightroom to process what can only be described as an eclectic mix of subjects ranging from fungi to surfing basically anything outdoors that catches my eye.
